Loyd-less TTT Riga Still Wins, Meskonyte Exits With Victory

The Biosil-WBBL saw four more games played this week, with defending champions TTT Riga and LCC International University Klaipeda both securing victories in Division A.

TTT Riga defeated Liepaja/LSSS 72-49 on the road, even without their star player Mia Faye Loyd. Ketija Vihmane led the champions with 17 points, while Mila Luzgina and Anna Liepina each added 10 points, with Liepina also grabbing 12 rebounds.

Madara Šmite (13 points) and Annija Birzina (10) were the top scorers for Liepaja/LSSS.

LCC International University had a tougher test against Siauliai-Vilmers, but ultimately prevailed 77-71. Elizabete Bulane hit a crucial three-pointer with 28 seconds remaining to give LCC a decisive lead (76-71).

Gabija Meskonyte had a strong performance for the winners, with 20 points, 8 rebounds, and 8 assists. After the game, it was announced that this was Meskonyte's last game for LCC International University, as she will continue her career in Germany.

Gerda Raulusaityte contributed 15 points, Maisa Pereira Dias 13, Lina Loceniece 12, and Elizabete Bulane 10.

Malia Rose Bambrick (19), Sabine Lipe (13), and Dalia Donskichyte (12) were Siauliai-Vilmers's top scorers.

In Division B, TTT Riga Juniors defeated Latvia U16 76-66 in a back-and-forth game. Latvia U16 won the third quarter 30-10, but TTT Riga Juniors responded with a 31-11 fourth quarter to secure the victory.

Liva Hermane scored 13 points for the winners, while Sindija Miscenko added 12. Madara Sakalova (14) and Helena Paula Araja (11) led Latvia U16.

Aistes-LSMU Kaunas remained undefeated with a 63-58 win over Panevezys. After three quarters, the score was tied at 47-47, but Kaunas' team pulled away in the final minutes.

Gintare Paulauskaite scored 14 points for the winners, including a buzzer-beater from half-court in the second quarter. November's Division B MVP Brigita Rimkeviciute added 12 points.

Justina Oficerovaite scored 18 points for Panevezys, while Gabriele Sulske added 17.
