LCC International University pulled off an impressive 84-68 win over defending champions TTT Riga, avenging an earlier 69-81 loss in the Latvian capital.
The hosts took control in the second quarter, building a double-digit lead (46-35) that they maintained until halftime (52-41). TTT Riga was unable to mount a comeback in the second half.
TTT Riga struggled from long range, making just 1 of 13 three-point attempts (8%). In contrast, LCC International University connected on 7 of 26 attempts (26%).
Gerda Raulusaitytė, named the best Lithuanian player of 2024, led Klaipeda with 25 points, 14 rebounds, and 42 efficiency rating points in 35.5 minutes. Lina Loceniece added 25 points and 19 efficiency rating points.
Mia Faye Loyd had a strong performance for TTT Riga, scoring 25 points and grabbing 11 rebounds in 35 minutes.
Neptunas-Amberton, Klaipeda's other Division A team, also had a successful week with comfortable wins over Liepaja/LSSS (71-41) and RSU Riga (91-47). The coaching staff were able to distribute minutes evenly among the players, with almost everyone getting on the scoresheet. Viktoria Balaban had a standout performance against RSU Riga, scoring 20 points in 19 minutes.
Kibirkstis Vilnius remains undefeated in Division A with 9 wins in 9 games. Neptunas-Amberton is in second place with 8 wins, followed by LCC International University with 7 wins. TTT Riga has a 4-4 record after 8 games.
In Division B, TTT Riga Juniors defeated Uniclub Bet-Oaks 104-64 in Vilnius. Sarlote Skrebele and Sindija Miscenko led TTT Riga Juniors with 17 points each, while Emilija Trofimenko had a near triple-double with 7 points, 11 rebounds, and 12 assists.
Aiste Radzeviciute and Gitana Paplauskaite each scored 18 points for Uniclub Bet-Oaks, who remain winless.
