In Division A, Neptunas-Amberton Klaipeda secured their place in the Final Four, defeating Liepaja/LSSS 83-58 at home. Building on their dominant 74-43 victory in the first leg, Neptunas-Amberton cruised to the series win.
With the series virtually in hand, Neptunas-Amberton opted to utilize their full roster, providing valuable minutes to all 12 players. Ruta Stipra and Taylor Murray led the way with 12 points apiece, while Madara Smite (20 points) and Kitija Muzikante (13) put in strong performances for Liepaja/LSSS.
Looking ahead to the Final Four in Riga, Neptunas-Amberton is poised to face another Klaipeda-based team, LCC International University.
LCC took a significant step towards securing this matchup by overwhelming a shorthanded Siauliai-Vilmers team 97-48 on the road. Lina Loceniece spearheaded the offense with 23 points, supported by Maisa Dias (16) and Gerda Raulusaityte (15).
Agne Cerneckyte was the lone Siauliai-Vilmers player to reach double figures, scoring 10 points.
The teams will clash again in Klaipeda on March 27th.
The fourth and fifth seeds in both divisions also began their quarterfinal series.
In Division A, defending champions TTT Riga, facing a determined Tallinn squad, finally broke away in the decisive fourth quarter, outscoring TSA/CITYTEED Tallinn 21-10, and securing a 78-63 road victory. Mia Loyd (21 points) and Dominique Wilson (19 points) led TTT Riga's charge, while Sofia Kosareva kept Tallinn in the game with an impressive 30-point performance.
The teams will meet again in Riga on March 28th.
In Division B, Daugavpils University established a commanding lead, almost guaranteeing their spot in the Final Four, with a 73-49 victory over Latvia U16. Jelizaveta Naidjonova (25) and Ksenija Petrova (16) led the Daugavpils offense, while Evelina Sirsina (11) and Marta Arsentjeva (10) were the top scorers for Latvia U16.
The teams will play Game 2 in Daugavpils on March 23rd.
