At the heart of the new structure is an open Lithuanian championship (Open Smart Way MLKL) that will bring together elite clubs from across the Baltic region. Seven Lithuanian teams – Kibirkstis Vilnius, Neptunas-Amberton Klaipeda, LCC International University Klaipeda, Siauliai-Vilmers, Aistes-LSMU Kaunas, Panevezys and Alytus-GUT.LT – will be joined by Latvian TTT Riga and RSU, as well as Estonia's TSA/TALLINN.

Once the two-round regular season is in the books, the top eight teams in the standings will punch their tickets to the Baltic League quarterfinals. From there, a two-game, total-points series will stand between them and a coveted berth in the Final Four.

The action doesn't stop there, as a Baltic League B Division championship will also be contested. This tournament will feature four teams from Latvia alongside two representatives each from Lithuania and Estonia.

For all the latest news, scores, and updates from the Open Smart Way MLKL, fans are invited to follow the league's official website moterulyga.lt.
