Last week wasn't as action-packed as usual in the Baltic Women's Basketball League (BWBL), but the five games played were full of tension.

The defending champions TTT-Riga faced Panevezys and didn't seem to have any problems initially. However, the game turned out to be a close one.

TTT-Riga had only seven players this time, and the score was tied after three quarters - 55:55. However, the Latvian team won the fourth quarter 16:5 and the whole game - 71:60.

Vanesa Jasa led the winners with 22 points, followed by Gabija Meskonyte (13) and Luize Sila (12).

In the Panevezys team, Kriste Timofejeva had a great game, hitting all 6 of her shots from the field (3/3 three-pointers and 3/3 two-pointers). The forward scored 18 points and had a performance index of 25.

Julita Bungaite added 11 points for the guests.

TTT-Riga has won all 14 games this season and remains the only undefeated team.

In Klaipeda, a TOP-4 clash took place. LCC International University hosted Kibirkstis Vilnius and celebrated a victory after a tough fight 76:67.

Urte Slavickaite and Elizabete Bulane scored 16 points each for the winners, Gerda Raulusaityte added 13 points, and Maisa Dias - 12.

Dalia Donskichyte (18 points, 8 assists), Egle Zabotkaite (13), and Sintija Aukstikalnyte (11) were Kibirkstis' top performers.

Before this game, Kibirkstis announced that former TTT-Riga center Daugile Use is returning to the team, but she hasn't played in Klaipeda yet.

Another Klaipeda team, Neptunas-Amberton, also won this week. They defeated Aistes-LSMU Kaunas at home 77:50.

LCC International University and Neptunas-Amberton now have 15 wins and 3 losses each, while Kibirkstis has 13 wins and 5 losses.

Siauliai-Vilmers (12-6) is right behind the top four, having won against Panevezys 87:59 on the road last week.

In the fifth game of the week, Daugavpils Universitate, without their leader Kinga Piedel, lost to Liepaja/LSSS 64:74. The guests won thanks to a great fourth quarter, which they won 16:7.

In this game, three players had double-doubles. Raivita Korenika (15 points and 10 rebounds) and Sabine Lipe (10 points and 11 rebounds) stood out for Liepaja/LSSS, while Anna Liepina (11 points and 13 rebounds) did it for Daugavpils.
